Some interesting discovery.
After spending a whole 10 weeks on a pseudo stocks market, its seems that overall, people do usually earn money whether they are qualified regardless of the industry that they want to get their hands on.
This is of course can be back up empirically. Since the stock trading is directly reflection on the real world market, our group would have won around $40k if the money was real. And the worse to do group would still earn around $1k plus. And if you talk about the whole stock trading population as a whole, the best group had five-fold their initial value, and the worse group lost a mere 10k. Or maybe the economy is just growing as a whole. Whatever happen to the decade-ly economy break down?
For 10 weeks of work, you can potentially earn a generally mean of 20k. Split among 4 people, thats 5k for 2 month of work. Which personally, i did nothing. Or my group did nothing. We just so happen to park our cash in SGX which doubles in value over that short 10 weeks.
Time to deal in stocks people. I can feel that CapitaLand is on the rise.

If you cant sift out bullshit from facts, you shouldn't be reading this.

Exams in less than a month and im really struggling just to study for couple of hours straight. I guess it would take some time to get used to it.
Been feeling angsty these past few days. Have no reason why.
Picked up running. And my whole body wrecked. And its so short, its an embarrassment. Of course i fared better than Victor who is apparently still suffering from a wrecked body. Shall attempt to get him to run with me again tonight. Hopefully, im able to run twice a week. Too bad swimming pool in school doesn't open till midnight.
Apparently im considered a pro in scrabble just because i know qi an zo exist. However, i am not really inclined to play for them. And somehow even if i get a room next year, i just cant seem to want to stay with anyone else except for Victor. He makes hall staying so much gaming fun. And the prospect of sharing my other life with a stranger just doesn't fit well with me.
Life is good for now.

2 high points FTW!
Went Island Creamery. And it was quite a nice experience. The ice cream there were pretty cheap. $2.50 for 1 scoop, $4 for 2 scoops. Of course the main draw to be there is to try out their strange flavours. Which we did. The first 2 were pretty normal. Black forest and Cookies 'n Creams. The latter tasted pretty on the norm, while the former was much more like Tiramisu. Too much alcoholic content and it ended up being pretty bitter. We didn't really like it.
The next 2 were banana and teh tarik. Which i feel were the more unique ones. Well, they tasted exactly like what they were suppose to taste like. And its quite nice. Except for the fact that 4 scoops of ice cream is really a bit too much and it gets pretty bland after a well. I guess some stuffs are meant to be shared with more people instead.
Ever since the mini break on Monday, the inertia to study has once again settled its foothold. Although i have half a mind to issue a challenge letter to the top-all-quiz guy, but im feeling not quite up to it. And i am convincing myself that ultimately, grades can only bring you so far and if you are aiming to be big, studying just ain't the right place to be. Go out, make some investment, burn some cash. Those who are not so tight up with money are those who can really make it big. High risk, high returns. If you can risk your money away, don't expect any returns.
Decided to add some music in my life. Since the carom training and break dancing just so happen to clash, I opted for the training since my roomie is playing also. Went to a friend house to re-learn how to play guitar all over again. Im quite a failure when it comes to learning new stuffs. Somehow along the way, it would get lost somewhere and i would find it back just to lose it away. Same with cooking... And break dancing... and guitar.. and driving.. What i need is a large dosage of determination and a surgical removal of my plain lazy ass.
Time really flies. Less than a month to my first semester exams. Somehow its quite exciting. Since its been a long while since i have sat for any exam. However, that in itself may prove to be a downfall. Nervous breakdown anyone?
it seems that burning bridges down is the way to go. What for leave it hanging over the cliff when it doesn't lead you to anywhere.

Another week.
Its a make or break week.
Started with Tuesday mid term test. Wasted 1.5 hours of my life as the balance sheet cannot be balanced. Should have went for the obvious by drawing a dot in the centre and instruct them to place dotted point on pencil tip to balance the sheet. Immediately after that its Accounting Written Report. Ironed out most of the stuffs. The whole afternoon was devoted to it. And i went back to my room to continue fine tuning it. Much more efforts during the week later, I've completed my part and left it to the rest to settle it.
Wednesday was feeling quite bad from the lack of sleep since I had video editing at night before till 1230 am. Was pretty ok. Think i made a hundred odd bucks. Not bad for 5 hours of work. And on Wednesday did accounting and business tutorial after that attempted my Financial Management extremely tedious essay 5. Somehow or rather, the weightage for it seems to be extremely low for a compiled 5k words essay and a stock trading program. 20% would be more justifiable considering an accounting written report of 1k words is already 15% of the course. And yet again i slept at 3 am.
Thursday was interesting since we had business law tutorial and it ended up pretty crappy yet again. So much for polar shift and the end of the world. And after that was time for me to back to rest since i was having an extremely bad headache due to the previous nights projects rushing. Ended up playing game for the rest of the night and once again slept at 3 am.
Friday was hip. The tutor suddenly decided to take attendence and someone was not there. And its just so happen that's her first time missing the lesson. After that its down to more mundane work. And another hundred odd bucks in the pocket. And its back to my room and off to my home.
And this is to certain someone for making the effort to come to my house today just to spend 3 hours with me. Really apppreciate the effort. And just want to say that i treasure every moment with you!

The recess week blew over and its back to school again. And again the avalanche of things are immensely stressful.
So far the things covered: AB114 - Presentations on career. The people think i did very well. I just thought that i did okay. Considering its last minute, and zero preparations were done other than just importing pictures into the slides. Humorous at best.
IT quiz was quite a joke. Finished under 4 minutes and scored 95/100. Finally something that i do not have to worry in.
And the things outstanding: Accounting 1 mid term test on coming Tuesday. Business law on 19 October. Financial management essay 5 due next week. Accounting written report due next Monday and IT project due sometime in end October. And not to forget, 6 more weeks to exams. So its going to be hell of a time.
So far my school commitments are campus crusade, IHG carom, Biz Mag for Megafest and Welfare subcom. And of course this lingering thing of break dancing which i have not gone for a long time as my carom training just happen to coincide with their practice. But i guess break dancing can slowly wait.
With the inception of Warriors Orochi, Victor and I are officially aiming to be year 1 again for next year. Been sleeping at 3 am for the past few nights pumping the controller. It is so strange that a concept of such simplicity has such appeal to burnt brain from studying. Sometimes, you just want to slash your way through 1000 soldiers and enjoy every killing of it.
Apparently its not easy to be attached when your involve in a church. I guess that's why most attached teens are not in church, or they have their partners not in the same church as them. Sometime i feel that the policy of church should be change. By attempting to stamp out every single BGR, they have effectively sent it down to underground. Which will make matters worse. When things happen, its too late already. Monitoring and support becomes remote to these group of people who simply chooses something that its not along church policy. This may result in them leaving church altogether. Its the same reason why brothels and casinos are being licensed. Better to have them in the open than letting them run rampant underground.
Went for OGL interview. Applied for OGL for FOC, and i must say im quite impressed with myself. I feel that it was not as screw up as the time i tried for my JC. Well, this time i really hope to be in OGL, cause it would mean fun fun fun. And for our entertaining performance, we did a screwed up cheer which in the end turn out to be quite funny. And hopefully entertaining.
Feeling high inertia to study. Really super high inertia.
